Taxidermy Zebra Skin Rug

1900 - 1920
Description

A good quality taxidermy Zebra skin rug dating from the early 20th Century. It is backed onto a thick black felt with a scalloped edge and there are some loops sewn into the backing which enable it to be hung on a wall if desired.

The skin is in good condition for its age and the colours have remained vibrant and it has a good mane and tail. There are some signs of age and wear in places, some rubbing and there are some old tears in the skin (see photos) but overall it displays well.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
