Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Settee

Description

A charming and very beautiful antique Edwardian inlaid mahogany settee, dating from around the 1880-1910 period.

It is beautifully designed and is of very fine quality. It is a lovely, compact size and is perfect for use as an entry bench, window seat or even at the foot of a bed. The solid mahogany frame has stunning curves and satin wood inlays throughout, it stands on tapered legs with fanned carving at the knees. There is also lovely pierced fretwork at the top of the back rest.

We have had the frame re-polished, it has been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age, with only some very minor historical wear beneath the polish on the frame here and there.
