Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated these Royal Worcester Porcelain Figures to the Edwardian era.
The soft Blush Ivory ground, with delicate apricot shading, gives depth to the modelling and provides an elegant contrast to the richly applied Raised Gold ornament.
The raised gilding was built up in relief, covered with 24-karat gold and carefully burnished by hand with agate tools, creating the sculptural brilliance associated with Royal Worcester's finest decorative work. Both figures retain their original Royal Worcester printed factory marks, the impressed shape number 1250 and the original British Registration design number. Complete matching pairs of this model are increasingly difficult to find and remain highly desirable among collectors of Royal Worcester and fine English porcelain.

Condition:
Male figure: Excellent original condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. The original polychrome decoration and raised gilding are exceptionally well preserved.
Female figure: A small chip to the rim of the water jar, visible only upon close inspection, and minor wear to the gilding on the upper part of the jar. Otherwise in excellent original condition with no cracks or restorations. The original polychrome decoration and raised gilding remain exceptionally well preserved.
