Hingstons of Wilton has dated this George III Mahogany Chest-on-chest to the Georgian era.
A superb George III mahogany chest on chest, dating from the late 18th century and of particularly desirable small proportions, making it an exceptionally versatile piece for both period and contemporary interiors.
The upper section is surmounted by a finely carved blind fret cornice, a feature associated with high-quality Georgian cabinet making, adding both elegance and architectural interest.

The chest retains its original brass swan-neck handles and matching escutcheons, an increasingly uncommon and highly desirable feature that enhances its authenticity. The well-proportioned arrangement of graduated drawers provides generous storage, while the whole stands on elegant ogee bracket feet, completing its balanced and refined appearance.

With its outstanding craftsmanship, excellent colour and practical size, this fine George III chest on chest is equally suited to a bedroom, drawing room or entrance hall and represents a timeless example of English Georgian furniture.
