An elegant chinoiserie dressing table, finished in black lacquer and richly decorated throughout with finely hand-painted gilt Oriental scenes, figures, pagodas and landscapes.
 
The rectangular top is adorned with chinoiserie decoration and retains its original shaped mirror within a matching lacquered frame.
 
The kneehole base is fitted with five drawers, each featuring beautifully detailed painted panels and original decorative handles, all raised on graceful cabriole legs.
 
The finish has light age-related wear in places, commensurate with age and use, adding to the piece''s authentic character.
