A striking piece of tribal art. The dark blue sets off this beautiful, extremely fine saddlerug for a horse. The yellow corners and the iconic cut out for the saddle pommel somehow lend human facial features to this beautiful rug. A really fascinating weaving, the more you look, the more there is to see. Look at the super fine, multi-cord selvedges and the kilim end at the top. Full of character and would make a great display item. In excellent, original condition, glowing patination and deeply saturated natural dyes.
