This charming pair of Antique Oushak mats is a rare find. Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century, they have all the qualities of the best room-size Oushak carpets of the period, namely soft wool, great natural dyes and spacious stylised floral patterns. This pair has the added merit of having survived in very good condition, and would make great accessories in bedrooms and other decorative spaces. People have said to me: "if only they were roomsize...". My reply: i like them as they are. Their rarity as a pair in good condition makes them both collectible and decorative. The dimensions are 75cm x 40cm and 65cm x 43cm. The price for the pair is £750.
