Description

Pieced together from multiple small piece of silk and velvet ikat, and other textiles, this lovely tribal artifact is one of a handful of examples of the group that I have come across. The liklihood is that it was produced for a special occasion and used sparingly. Purchased from a private collection where it was hanging in a study for decades. Today, it feels both archaic and modern at the same time, and I believe it would make a dramatic hanging or cover. Professionally cleaned and in very good condition.
