An attractive antique country pine settle bench. The settle is constructed in solid pine and features a high panelled back with a simple moulded rail. There are shaped arms to either side, supported by turned uprights. The seat is formed of two panels which lift to reveal a useful storage compartment below, with deep interiors. The base is panelled to the front and sides with broad pine boards, raised on simple square supports. The settle has a good, honest feel throughout and retains a warm, mellow colour and tone.
