Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Mid-20th-century political portraiture focuses on representational accuracy and realistic likenesses of public figures, designed to convey dignity, leadership, and accessibility.

Works from this period were commonly executed on paper using watercolour, gouache, or charcoal, or on canvas using oils, before being housed in glass-fronted gilt wooden frames with paper board mounts.

Authentic period pieces exhibit natural aging to the paper substrate, subtle tonal fading, original artist signatures or blind stamps, and period-correct framing backing materials.

A framed historic portrait can be styled as a focal point within a dark-toned library, placed alongside contemporary artwork on a gallery wall, or displayed above a timber console table.

Frame paper artwork behind UV-protective glass, use acid-free mounting materials, and hang the piece away from direct sunlight, radiators, or areas of high humidity.
