This beautiful 19th century Beshir rug displays a confident and sophisticated use of pattern. Along the border, graceful bird silhouettes flank a central band of cross motifs, each adorned with delicate floral heads . The central field features an engaging mix of arrows and octagonal medallions, echoing the rich palette of blues, reds, green and ivory found throughout the border.
