A superb quality late 19th Century Kingsize bed. With extensive parquetry inlay of exotic woods, with we'll cast ormolu appliqués and feet.all recently cleaned and waxed, emphasising the wonderful colour of the timbers. This bed comes with headboard, footboard and side rails, which have been stretched to accommodate a modern Kingsize mattress. The bed actually measures 170 centimetres wide, larger than normal so will comfortably accommodate a modern Kingsize mattress. The rails have been modified to accommodate slats to support a mattress ( which can be supplied if required)..
