Description

A substantial and solid pitch pine chest of drawers. The chest is arranged with two short drawers over three full-width drawers, all fitted with turned wooden knobs and brass escutcheons. It stands on turned feet, and the pitch pine displays an attractive grain and warm colour throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

The chest is in good antique condition overall and is solid and sturdy. It shows signs of age and honest surface wear, including age-related marks and scratches consistent with use. The top has some scratches, areas of loss, splitting, and fading. The drawer fronts also display some scratches and general wear. These features are in keeping with its age and add to the character and authenticity of the piece.
