Gents Omega Wrist Watch, 1935

Description

Gents Omega wrist watch, 1935.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 26.5 SOB, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8890620 which dates it back to 1935.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the later winding crown and the lugs. It was originally designed to be worn by a man but with today’s fashions, it would also work well as a lady’s watch. The case is stainless steel, it has some surface marking but overall very acceptable for such an early piece. There are initials to the back of the watch.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed through a jeweller’s loupe, there are a couple of very faint hairlines, and there is an old repair to the edge of the dial, by number 10. Breguet style numbers and hands.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
