This sparkling silk Kashan rug has great decorative appeal. The rich rouge field is centred by an ornate pendant medallion which is surrounded by a delightful array of exuberant floral motifs and meandering vines. The sapphire blue border is equally atractive with a repeat design of colourful palmettes and strapwork. It is a delightful composition which exudes luxury and sophistication. New ends an fringes have been added, otherwise this beautiful piece is in very good original condition.
