Set of 10, 18th Century German watercolours depicting 10 figures in national costume.

Each (except for one) is inscribed in the margin, lower centre, with the nationality of the portrait. Some of the nationalities include English, Italian, Swiss, Polish and Moroccan.

These are fascinating portraits, it is highly possible that they were painted for book illustrations.

They are in excellent condition with a few small, age related, marks. They have all been re-framed.
