Subject: An important early 19th-century topographical watercolour depicting the Burial Ground at Waterloo, produced in 1826, eleven years after the Battle of Waterloo. The composition shows a fenced burial enclosure with gateway, with surrounding continental architecture visible beyond — a quiet, reflective record of a site of profound historical significance.
