Antique Kashan Carpet Rare Colour Palette

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a beautiful antique Kashan carpet with a splendid design dating from around 1900. The carpet is finely drawn and has an unusual colour palette with a central field of chartreuse green and an ornate central medallion in indigo and coral pink which contrasts beautifully. The deep borders of scrolling foliage are a lovely rust shade. The carpet is in excellent order with a low even pile and looks fabulous down.

This measures 170 cms by 121 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
