19th Century English Regency Painted Cane Seat Settee with Original Paint and Decoration.
The frame is constructed of wood (likely beechwood) and features an off-white or cream painted finish, accented with refined gilt decoration. This combination was a hallmark of the period. It has a distinct open backrest composed of three vertical sections. Each section showcases a delicate, geometric crossed trellis pattern below an ornate central cartouche motif. The settee is a three-seater bench with gently outswept arms. It stands on slender, turned, and tapering legs. It has a single, thick loose seat cushion.
