This is a beautiful Kayseri silk prayer rug with fine detail and a good high knot count. The rug is in outstanding condition and dates from the early 20th century. It has a delightful sky blue Garden of Eden field beneath the Mirhab enclosed by orange sunset borders of wild beasts flanked by flower head guard stripes. This is in beautiful condition throughout and would be a fine rug or a fabulous wall hanging for display. The carpet measures 153 cms by 103 cms.
