An outstanding example of old master preparatory sketch with a skilful application and understanding of technique.
An old master sepia ink on buff paper in mostly excellent condition for its age, behind glass. Polite a diagonal food to the top right with some tiny holes that show evidence of a historic repair, having been filled.
An altogether very fine 18th century inkwash drawing.
