Regency Mahogany Bow Front Chest of Drawers

A Regency mahogany bow-front chest of drawers with two short over three graduated long drawers. The drawer fronts retain their original cockbeading and are fitted with oval brass plate handles. The chest stands on splayed bracket feet with a shaped apron. The top has a reeded edge, typical of the period. The mahogany has a rich, even tone with attractive grain. Overall a very nice example.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. Age-related crack along the top of the chest of drawers, but not structural and overall chest is in good solid condition. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches throughout the piece. Lockplate missing from bottom drawer. Historic repair to the front right corner (photographed). Drawers run smoothly.
