This example is painted by an unknown artist to us : ‘D Lawson’. This artist clearly admired and appreciated the art and work of Joseph Farquharson and copied this famous painting so very well. Circa 1900-1920.
Oil on panel, signed lower left.
A wonderful atmospheric piece, celebrating the talent and work of Joseph Farquharson; the original of this painting is held in the Tate.
