A circular panel with key escutcheon centres the upper frieze drawer, while the plinth base conceals a fifth hidden drawer, a feature often found in 19th-century French cabinetry. The richly figured mahogany veneers emphasise symmetry and depth, complemented by the contrasting dark green marble top with pale veining, a durable and decorative surface typical of the period.
