178 X 370cm Fine Antique Khorossan Carpet

A great bargain to cover your floor if you are not bothered by wear. This huge carpet will improve acoustics and provide a certain decorative warmth for almost no money. Made in central Persia in the late 19th century it comes with the mystery of the Orient and hundreds of years of rug weaving tradition. Someone has in the past carefully sewn it onto a cotton lining to help preserve it and although looking a little raggedy, I would recommend leaving the lining on as it holds the rug together. Heavily worn, repaired and patched with some splits along the top end...
