18th century English mahogany tall chest in the manner of Thomas Chippendale. The top is nicely finished with a moulded edge over a blind fret work frieze. There are two short drawers over five graduating long drawers, standing on bold, original bracket feet. The handles and escutcheons are also original. The colour and surface are wonderful. This is a very good chest that must have come from a top workshop
