Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An aneroid barometer measures atmospheric pressure without using liquid, relying instead on a small, flexible metal box called an aneroid capsule that expands or contracts with pressure changes.

Victorian barometers typically featured wooden cases made from walnut, mahogany, or oak, often complemented by brass bezels, paper or enamel dials, and glass faces.

Authentic pieces usually display period-specific typography on the dial, hand-carved wooden frames showing natural ageing, and mechanical components consistent with 19th-century manufacturing techniques.

An antique barometer makes a striking focal point when hung individually on a neutral wall or integrated into a curated gallery display featuring other vintage instruments or artworks.

Keep the instrument away from direct sunlight and extreme humidity fluctuations to protect the wood case and internal mechanism, occasionally dusting the frame with a dry, soft cloth.
