Chinese Bronze Ritual Tripod Wine Vessel, Jue.

This interesting Chinese Archaistic Jue is finely cast in bronze, and it represents an ancient pouring vessel used in rituals and ceremonies.

This small example is beautifully decorated with a cast, detailed pattern on the main outer body.

It stands on three raised, tapering legs. It has a finely patinated and verdigris surface, which is in keeping with the early period it represents. In my opinion, this piece dates to the 19th century but could be much older.
