Description

An elegant Georgian oak chest of drawers, crafted from solid oak with a warm patina and attractive grain. The chest comprises two short drawers over three full-length graduated drawers, fitted with brass swan-neck handles and shaped backplates. Three of the drawers feature brass escutcheons. It stands on shaped bracket feet and has a simple flat top, showing age-related wear that enhances its antique character.

Condition report:

In good antique condition overall, with surface wear, scratches, and marks throughout consistent with age. There is splitting (age related shrinkage) and staining to the top, as well as minor age-related movement to the sides. Historic woodworm to the back (long gone and treated as a precaution) Overall a lovely piece, structurally solid and sound.
