Superb 19 1/2" Long Scottish Jointing Plane

Description

Superb little used 19 1/2" long by 3" wide Scottish (Spiers pattern) cast metal jointing plane. Gunmetal lever cap with beautiful rosewood or walnut infill including large fully enclosed rear handle with full spur. Comes with what looks likle the original near full length thick parallel iron by I. Sorby which is cast steel and produces a good tight mouth. This plane is in fabulous condition, hasn't been over-cleaned just in really good original condition. The infill has all of its original finish. 2 1/2" wide blade.
