Victorian Oil Painting Cows in Byre

Description

A delightful 19th century oil painting of cattle in the byre, one lying on the hay with chickens around them. The painting is in excellent condition in it's original gilt frame. This is a great composition and well preserved painted in bold oil colours onto canvas around 1880.

The frame retains it's original gilt finish and is in super order measuring 52 cms by 43 cms by 5 cms deep.

Provenance: From the Selected Contents of Scorborough Lodge from the Estate of Stephen Thornley-Wilson
