The Design Gallery has dated this Celtic Revival Pewter Chalice to the 1930s.
The shop ran for 20 years and exhibited frequently, with Archibald Knox writing the introductions to their catalogues. The use of green “Peking glass” cabouchons indicates a possible date of 1920s, when this Czech glass became highly popular for jewellery. We are also considering the possibility of the cup having been designed and made by Friedrich Adler. Fine condition.
