Description

A large Edwardian oil painting by J E Tate, signed and dated 1905. This lovely oil painting depicting Douglas Bay looking North with Derby Castle and Onchan head in the distance. If you look closely you can see a depiction of what would have been the brand new Manx Electric Railway, which opened in 1893.

A fantastic painting, unframed, but having been professionally cleaned and conserved.
