Description

A Victorian collector’s chest in figured mahogany with seven drawers, dating to around 1870. Each drawer retains its original turned knob handles and is fitted with Chubb patent locks, one bearing the brass maker’s plaque. The graduated drawers are enclosed within a slim, well-proportioned carcass with an ogee-moulded top and plinth base. A practical piece originally designed for scientific or personal collections, offering secure and organised storage.
