A refined and elegant coffee cup and saucer made by Royal Worcester in 1875-76.

Potted in flawless snow-white bone china, this duo features a striking contrast of simple elegant shape and very fine and exquisite décor.

The white of the porcelain shows the rim decoration to best advantage. The bright pop of turquoise blue leaves against the rich gilding creating a wonderful contrast and small details of berries or seeds painted in raised gold add to its finesse. Delicate gold highlights to the handle and the base of the cup finish the ensemble nicely to create a beautiful piece full of elegance and harmony.

Dimensions:

cup, height – 7 cm, top diameter – 6.8 cm

saucer, diameter – 13.6 cm

Condition: excellent condition, no damage or repairs, no glaze crazing and hardly any wear to gold.
