Turkoman Tent / Yurt Band. Circa 1920. Full original length of over 15 meters (50 feet approx).
Hand knotted superb wide Turkoman tent-band/ribbon in Soumak flatweave technique. Wool on wool, with geometric designs and vivid colours in rustic brown, deep blues and white. Rare original tent band of original full single length.
Condition: Excellent condition with original plaited fixing tassles on both ends - minor edge patch / strengthening (as shown in photos). Beautifully made.

Length = 500cm (50 feet approx)
Width = 35cm (1ft 4'' approx)
* Used for both securing and decorating sections of the tent / yurt.
