Description

A beautiful all over lattice design on this antique Mahal carpet from the late 19th century, with nice blue wool background, using faded and varied terracotta tones for the main border. Flanked by two pretty off-white minor borders, which lift the palette and we can see some lovely pale greens used in the borders too.

Some areas of lower pile and minimal wear, but no major repairs or damage, a handsome carpet which has lots of life let in it, especially with our anti-slip underlay which adds excellent body and stops a carpet moving around on the floor.
