This is an elegant 19th century burr walnut side cabinet with beautiful hand painted detail dating from around 1890.
The cabinet has a William and Mary period styling, with a breakfront design, curved frieze and turned finial detail above an unusual double curved understretcher. This is raised on turned legs which have a lovely hand painted tulip design in leaf green. The drawer fronts and cabinet frieze have attractive parquetry floral detail and the top of the cabinet has a beautiful hand painted urn of flowers to the lovely burr walnut surface.
This is a most unusual and attractive piece of very rare design and has a lovely antique patina and golden colour to the burr walnut veneers.
Very good condition overall with some old veneer restoration to the top. The cabinet has nice neat proportions, (99 cms wide, 81 high 45 deep) making it suitable for many situations.
