Gents silver Thomas Russell Premier wrist watch, 1935.

The watch has a seven jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Thomas Russell & Son name, and also the Tempus Fugit logo. The plates have tarnished over the years but this does not affect how the movement works.

The watch measures 31mm wide excluding the winding crown, and 31mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1935 with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham case maker Aaron Dennison, a prolific case maker and supplier to various watch makers. The case is good condition, just a small “ding” above number 12.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye. If viewed through a magnifying loupe, there are a couple of faint hairlines.

A later leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
