Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

FAQs

These works typically focus on coastal scenes, sailing vessels, and marine topographies, capturing atmospheric light conditions and tonal subtleties characteristic of British watercolour traditions.

Artists generally utilised ground pigments suspended in a water-soluble binder, applied to heavyweight cotton or rag paper, often housed within wooden frames under protective glass.

Authentication involves examining the paper type for watermark indicators, studying pigment aging characteristics, inspecting framing methods, and verifying artist signatures against established stylistic benchmarks.

Hang the piece on a neutral wall space to highlight its tonal palette, pairing it with traditional wooden furniture or transitional decor to create a balanced focal point.

Keep the artwork away from direct sunlight and high humidity levels to prevent paper degradation, fading of pigments, and foxing, while ensuring stable environmental conditions.
