A fine and decorative oil on wooden panel coastal scene. The scene depicted is a busy harbour with a town in the distance. The quality of the work is very high with great detail and colour. The condition is good with some canvas bracing to the reverse of the panel. The frame is the original but it has been re-gilt at some point. The frame does retain the original makers label on the reverse for Currie and Co of Dumfries. The whole has a wonderful country house look and is ready to hang.
