A beautiful, rare, square antique Mahal carpet with stunning soft colours in excellent condition and an open floral palmette design. The colours are exquisite and varied, from soft greens and muted brown red dyes to the sludgy greens and indigo blues. All woven on a soft red background, with wonderful abrash, which is subtle dye change. This only happens on antique carpets, as dyes fade and oxidise over 100 plus years, giving immense character and interest.

Highly decorative and a rare antique carpet, this would look amazingon an oak floor for instance or in a drawing room or study on sisal too. Lovely colours to work with when putting together a room, picking fabrics from this carpet would be a delight!
