Antique Jaf Bag Face 1.09m X 0.67m

Description

A beautiful antique bag face, woven by the Jaf tribe of Kurdistan circa 1900, possibly slightly earlier. The bag features a diamond lattice design of reds, blues, pinks and greens surrounded by a deep indigo border. Wonderful soft wool, great natural dyes and a real collector’s item.

Size: 1.09m (Pile 0.61m) x 0.67m (3ft 7in (Pile 2ft) x 2ft 2in)

This bag face is in good condition with light, age related wear. Repair and surface mark to the kilim back. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
