Description

This is a good example of a very pretty Saroukh carpet dating from around 1910. With a warm coral ground colour the carpet features a central palmette medallion in light blue, mid blue and indigo and this is surrounded by stylised floral and leaf designs in the same shades. With further floral motifs to the indigo borders framing the carpet it is classic Saroukh design. It has a nice soft handle and is in excellent condition throughout. A very special addition to any room this measures 201 cms by 135 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
