Description

An early Italian carved wooden statue of Saint Nicholas.

It is very intricately carved with the saint robed in a cassock, cape and mitre, carrying a staff and a large volume.

It would have been gilded allover and there is still much present with the face having been originally painted.

It is all in original condition with no restoration.

The statue is wonderfully atmospheric with a feeling of deep antiquity - Circa 1780-1800.

The condition is good commensurate with age.

We can deliver free of charge in UK mainland and can calculate the cost for international delivery.
