An outstanding quality ivy leaf design carved oak ships compensated barometer with silvered dial and crescent thermometer, fully restored and working c.1890. The silvered dial with weather predictions to the outer edge, makers name and address (R. Bailey, 14, Bennetts Hill, Birmingham) and circular swirl pattern to the centre. The original mercury action crescent thermometer reading in Fahrenheit to the bottom half of the dial. Thick bevelled edge glass mounted in the cast brass bezel with centrally mounted reading marker. High quality aneroid movement fully serviced and working, carved and turned ivy leaf design oak surround with brass hanging mount to the top.
