Lee Wright Antiques & Interiors Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The back is of plain rectangular form, as are the arms. The frame is finely carved and painted in a shade of sage green. The back legs are raked and the frame is delicately ornamented with carved details. The frieze has a small central moulding, combined on the front rail with a band of fine leaf carving underneath. The front legs have acanthus leaf capitals and are fluted and have collared toes. The corner blocks are ornamented with carved floral paterae.
Upholstered to an under finish, ready for a top fabric or to be left as it is.
