An antique Tekke Turkmen handwoven rug, approximately 8''7'' x 4''4'', circa 1900. This tradition design Turkmen rug has a red coloured field with three columns of quartered nine Tekke guls, enclosed by sunburst pattern borders. Ivory kilim selvage ends with long fringes to both ends. This rug is of a fine weave with excellent soft wool.
A lovely old rug, full of charm and character, ready for use.

This rug measures approximately 232.5 cm long including fringes, and 132 cm wide.
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in a reasonably good condition, commensurate with its age. Odd minor small marks and blemishes. Only a little wear to the pile. Some losses to the fringes and freying to selvage ends. Little curling to the corners. A little fading. The rug has been vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
