Pair of early 1900''s Gouache Paintings by British Artist Albert James Thornton (1873-1947). The paintings depict Mountain and Lake Scenes with an impressive and charming catch of the early morning sun. Both paintings are signed A J Thornton and are in it''s original Perod Oak Mount and Frame. The covering back paper is also original.

Generally the paintings are in very good condition.

The outer frame of both pictures measures ca 35.5 cm x 50 cm.
