This is a gorgeous antique Italian Rococo revival parcel-gilt serpentine commode with beautiful hand painted decoration in the manner of Francois Boucher, Circa 1880 in date.
The chest features hand-painted panels with bouquets of flowers and floriate scrolls on a luxurious pastel grey and giltwood ground.
The commode has a pair of drawers above a pair of panelled doors. Each door opens to reveal a cupboard with a central shelf.

Franēois Boucher
was a French painter, draughtsman and etcher, who worked in the Rococo style. Boucher is known for his idyllic and voluptuous paintings on classical themes, decorative allegories, and pastoral scenes. He was perhaps the most celebrated painter and decorative artist of the 18th century.
